About Goaltree

Goaltree is a habit tracker and AI goal planner. Tell it what you want and AI breaks it into milestones, daily tasks and habits, then a coach with a voice, a face and a personality keeps you on track. It runs on web, iPhone and Android in six languages.

Goaltree has a lot of surface: Today, goals and plan trees, habits with streaks, levels and number targets, a coach in chat and on calls, groves, a leaderboard and a friends feed, stats and a weekly review. It all has to feel calm, fast and obvious on a phone.

You'll design across web and mobile, light and dark, six languages, and the marketing site, working directly in code-adjacent tools with an engineer who ships the same day.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end flows: research, sketches, high-fidelity design, prototypes, and polish after it ships.
• Shape the details that make habits stick: check-in feedback, streak moments, celebrations, haptics and sound.
• Design for conversation: coach chat, live calls, action cards and how AI changes are shown and undone.
• Grow and tidy our design system across web and native, including accent themes and accessibility.
• Design the marketing site and launch moments, from landing pages to app store screenshots.

What we're looking for

• A portfolio of shipped consumer product work, ideally mobile-first.
• Strong interaction and visual craft: motion, typography, hierarchy, dark UI.
• Comfort with ambiguity and with AI-driven interfaces that are not fully predictable.
• You can prototype in code or work closely enough with engineers that the result matches the design.

Nice to have

• Habit, fitness, wellbeing or productivity apps.
• Motion and micro-interaction design.
• Designing for multiple languages, including Japanese and Chinese.

How we work

• Remote-first and async. We write things down, keep meetings rare and short, and protect long stretches of focus time.
• Small team, big surface area. You will own whole features end to end: idea, design, build, ship, measure.
• AI-native. We build with AI coding tools every day and expect you to be fluent with them, while still caring about every line that ships.
• Quality bar: fast, accessible, translated, tested. Every feature lands on web and mobile, in all six languages.
